Dr Virago Pete's Super 8 transfer service demonstration of 400ft reel transfer using Kodak Film Videoplayer VP-1 and Sony VRD-MC3 & processor box. Vintage footage of Carribean Cruise 1970 color corrected restored amateur film with vintage special effects and titling as found on the film. I see several spliced areas where 50ft reels were combined to make this home movie. I'm proud to own the last known working VP-1 video transfer machine. 740x480 resolution as recorded onto DVD. Actual output of machine is 540 scanlines which surpasses DVD resolution. The image as recorded on DVD is HD and displays clean and crisp on my Hi Definition projection TV (not shown) and any plasma TV or LCD or OLED tv. You'll love my transfer service. What is unique about my Super8 film to DVD transfer service is my Kodak VP-1 Videoplayer which uses rubber rollers and no sprockets. It uses a flying spot scanner (no bulbs) and has color correction and framing and more controls which give a broadcast quality picture. Kodak only made 50 of these machines (see my website drviragopete.com) and I have one that is in mint condition and the other known machine is in the Kodak Museum in New York. It is unknown whether the museum machine works or is just a display. Mine is 100 working and has every attachment and is like brand new.
